Harman Folklore culture organization performed various concerts and folk dance shows in Europe, Asia and the U.S.A.  we organized Turkish Days, Weeks and Show in hotels and oriental shows our teachers have taught Turkish and oriental dances and Turkish music in various countries. We have taken part in many international Festivals and organized some Folk Festivals in our country.  We perform 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes programmers. If you have  folk and music festival in your country, we can participate and send our documents your post address.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Festival organization committee will provide one English speaking guide to each group. All performances must be to live music  or playback CD too. .The festival Committee is not responsible for any hesitate for any thefts or losses occurring while the group is moving or during activities. The groups should bring their own national two flags, banners for the ceremonies. Groups have to send us their all necessary documents such as their recently presentation CD or video cassette, a short brief about their background, their previously activities in abroad, group photos and if possible a big poster of the group. During the festival there will be four times gift exchanges, three times of them with different municipalities Mayors and one with the festival committee welcome party.  

We would be happy to welcome your ensemble in our wonderful city Istanbul and all together yo form the beginning of new friendship to make an collaboration culture exchange and also confraternity with each other. You are going to see the historical and touristic places of Istanbul some which are Ottoman, Byzantium cultures and shopping centers which provide the opportunity of all the authentic and modern entertainments of shopping of the East     and West with our experienced tourist guides.You also have the opportunity to spend your time with activites authentic parties and activities.There is a swimming possibility at Marmara sea,If you are interest you can vizit or swimming prince Island ,we can arrange special TURKISH BEATH. INTERNATIONAL ISTCUP  ISTANBUL CULTURE  FESTIVAL 27 AUGUST -31 AUGUST 2010

Istanbul Harman Folklore & Youth Sport Club organisation would like seeing your dance group in  INTERNATIONAL ISTCUP ISTANBUL folk festival, which will be held 27-31 AUGUST 2010. We are willing to organise, expand this International folklore festival every year and would like to see different cultures from all over the World.

 Now we would like to let you know about festival conditions;

I- Most programs are held in the evening however, some day time programs are also scheduled. Performances are approximately 10-15 minutes.  The time of the performance allowed will be strictly limited. All groups will show of their performance max 3 nights. Each group can perform max. with 15 minute.. We will invite 5 countries to the 27-31 AUGUST  2010. International ISTCUP ISTANBUL CULTURE FESTIVAL  ( Folklore, Modern Dance, Choir, music, children, young and adult groups). The groups will arrive here on 27 AUGUST    afternoon ( we provide  lunch and dinner on 27 AUGUST  and groups will leave from the festival on 31 AUGUST   after breakfast.

Festival organisation committee will provide accommodation, three meal, English guide , historical and touristic tours. We will invite International Folklore , Modern Dance, Choir, Music, Children, Young and Adult groups All performances with live music  or playback CD.

 three meal, historical and touristic tours, very clean beaches, Semi-Olympic Open Swimming Pool and Swimming Pool For Kid, one English speaking guide.  Organisation fee is per person 130 Euros totally for 4 night .

Groups which are comprised of 35 persons or more may be given an exemption on ONE person, normally the group leader, who will not be eligible to pay the participation fee.

We will provide FOUR STAR HOTEL  OPEN BUFFET  each room has 2-4 beds

B - UNIVERSITY DORMITORY.

We will provide to you three meals per day (lunches with packed meal) and accommodation at the University dormitory, each room has 3-4 beds, toilet and showers at the same floor. Participation fee is, 85 Euro  per person for 4 night.

Groups which are comprised of 35 persons or more may be given an exemption on two person, normally the group leader, who will not be eligible to pay the participation fee.

Each confirmed group participating in the International Festival needs to send a deposit to the Organising Committee’s offices of 1,000 Euros at a date agreed to by both parties after confirmation of participation. This deposit is non-refundable.

You have to pay this cost at the first day of the festival to one of Harman responsible person who will be join during the festival period. Payments will be in cash.

 C - TRANSPORTATION

If your group i s coming by PLANE, the group will pay their own transfer expenses . We will hire a bus and group will be picked up from/to ISTANBUL airport- dormitory and this bus will be ready during the festival to take the group from the dormitory to the festiv al place or the place s on the programme. The group will ha v e to pay u s for this service on the firs t day of the festival: totally 1600 Euro. f your group i s coming by BUS, the group will not pay .

II - ACTIVITIES DURING THE FESTIVAL

What you will have of your leisure time at the period of festival? , here they are: The main goal at the international folklore festival is all the participators who return home to gain a lot of new friends and great memories. A traditional excursion by private boat along the waterway (BOSPHORUS) its 30 km long separating EUROPE-ASIA will be excellent and full of unforgettable breathtaking sceneries. Duration in four hours you can not imagine how amusing funs you will have, let me allow explaining you. You will listen our best pop songs ,belly dance music’s . Previously of our festivals this trip was always one of the best free time activities ,popular event during the festival all the groups enjoyed themselves very much. please have everyone bring their swimming suits. This excursion cost is 10 EURO per person

 You will be able to see the famous historical and touristy places and shopping at the GRAND BAZAAR, which provide an amusing opportunity of all entertainment’s of shopping mix the east and west. Grand Bazaar is the oldest art and largest shopping centre in the world, it’s covered more than 30 hectares of the land in this labyrinth system of streets and passages there are more than 18 entrances and approximately 400.000 daily visitors. Countless products coming from the east, west, north and the south meet here .Million of choices provide shopping with a great pleasure. All kind of products are supplied such as carpets, jewellery, silverware gifts, souvenirs, hand make crafts, leather wear, coppers etc.. We say the Grand Bazaar is the centre of the World. Istanbul known as the Capital of Empires was founded 2600 years ago. Approximately 5 million tourists visit this splendid city every year. You will also be able to notice the affect of OTTOMAN – BYZANTIUM cultures.

You are going to see famous Topkapi Palace that has served the residence and political headquarter for ottoman sultans for 400 years, SULTANAHMET MOSQUE, and Blue mosque and SAINT SOPHIA.

One day during the festival period, there will be a swimming possibility at BLACK  SEA  on the sandy beach, please have everyone bring their swimming suits . Participation  groups  will be able to see PUBLIC BAZAAR and big SUPER MARKET. On the other hand if you desire, you will be able join in well known TURKISH BATH ( HAMAM).
